I just applied to a University and misspelled my signature.

I just applied to a University and misspelled my signature on the final step before submitting my Common Application. I was just wondering if this means my application is void without a correct signature? I was also wondering if there was any way to check my other applications to see if I misspelled any other signatures on the Common App, even though they are already submitted.

Bumping this thread up.

Bump. I accidentally made this mistake too. I cant believe I messed this up. T_T My parents will get REALLY mad if my application gets canceled… SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. kappa

I dont know how to change it omg should I just apply to NCC instead…

I know that you cannot change it once you have submitted it. I just want to know if it means the whole application is void now, and if I need to contact the school, common app, or something.

Mistakes happen, look on the school website for their phone number or email. Ask them about it,

Bump.

em… is it a big deal if I misspelled my teacher’s name?

Unless you misspelled the name as “John J Clamfart”, this is not big deal, just a typo. I’m sure they get applications barely written in English, let alone something as minor as a misspelled name.

As indicated above, it will have no impact unless the change is so drastic that it raises a real issue as to whether you signed the application, e.g., your name is John Smith and you signed John Johnson.
