Yes, I screwed up my gr.9 year and this year I was determined that gr.10 was important towards my future and that I needed to put effort in to excel.

Still, even with that mindset, I'm now bombing.

I'm failing Science with a 45% due to the fact that I haven't handed in a ton of assignments and I'm finding it harder and harder to go to school and pretend to be interested. Not to mention that if I do a GPA translation (I live in Canada) I have about a 2.63.

But for some reason, I still want to do better, I'm just at a loss as to how.

I don't know what to do anymore. I feel as if I have the worst studying habits and learning method ever (Tips please! :]).

How should I get myself back on track?
What can I do to stay organized and focused on what's important?

Look into non-traditional learning. That did it for me. :) Id be failing if I was at my high school all day, but because I get to go to college AND high school, which means driving and more respect from people, Im much more motivated.

People treating you like an adult when they talk to you is nice and High School just doesnt offer that. :(

Then dont! :) Look at some classes that do things around the school. Classes like EAST (If your school supports it), or Ecology Club that ties in with Chemistry. If you are involved with a lot of clubs then you may be getting out a few days a week.

ANYTHING to make your schedual the non traditional 6-7 periods a day then home will help.

Personally: I leave my last class 15 min early every day to either meet with a teacher about computers or set up for Japanese Club meetings on Wednesdays.

Funny part? Im not even in Japanese any more! I took a semester and due to a miscommunication on grades I dropped. I just know a lot about technology so I do that sort of thing.

If you have a class you finish early every day talk to your teacher about going to another class a few times a week and helping that teacher do things like setting up new technology, or decorating her room, or whatever!

Obviously I dont know what kind-of things you do already, but I know for me and my friends the more "involved" we are in things that mess around with the traditional day the happier we are and the better we work. :)

I wish you the best of luck in this!!! Im sure you will be fine! Just remember not to let your grades slip. ;)
