Applying to:

Northwestern, JHU, Penn, Duke, Cornell, Rice, UMich, Georgetown, Washington University at St. Louis, University of Chicago, Emory, UC LA, UC Berkeley, Columbia, Cooper Union

Pleaseeee someone ?

You’ve got some pretty competitive universities up there. Your SAT scores are good but I think you’ll need to get them a little higher maybe around 2150-2200. EC’s are good. With so many universities you’ll hopefully get accepted into some good ones. Good luck!

Northwestern - low reach
JHU - match
Penn - reach
Duke - reach
Cornell - low reach
Rice - low reach
UMich - low match
Georgetown - match
Washington University at St. Louis - high match
University of Chicago - high match
Emory - match
UC LA - match/high match
UC Berkeley - match/high match
Columbia - reach
Cooper Union - don’t know. sorry

SATs and activities could be stronger. You’re also not a CA resident. I think alot will depend on your essays. Good luck!

Northwestern- high match

Penn- reach (all the ivys are for everyone, but you have a good shot)
Duke- low reach
Cornell- read (see Penn)
Rice- high match
UMich- match
Georgetown- low reach
Washington University at St. Louis- high match
University of Chicago- if you essays are indeed great, high match
Emory- high match/low reach
UC LA- OOS so reach
UC Berkeley- reach (see UCLA)
Columbia- reach (see Penn)
Cooper Union- high reach (i just looked at this place and they have a lower acceptance rate than some Ivys! wow)

Thanks everyone. Is a high match better than just a match?? Anyone else with opinions?
