OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.. OMGOMGOMG.

I AM INTERNATIONAL TOO!!! :d

Congrats! Now you've just gotta wait for Princeton...

That is soooo great * Congratulations PW*

is it true that around 500 ppl get it each year?

Hey PW..........where do u live?

Vancouver BC Canada.

congrats! may i ask what are your stats?

1490 highest sat 1. 690 v. 800 math 2c and chem. 780 phy, 740 writing.. i went to a summer math program in the states and a prof who taught at MIT wrote me a rec and said very good things about me... 4.0 top 2% of public high school that doesn't rank and rarely sends anything to ivy. first ap national scholar as a grade 11 student in school history. school record for number of ap courses take. A+ at university course.. that's about it for acadmiecs.. some contests and blah.. best possible recs.. very good essays.. that's about it.. my scores are not that stellar.. esp sat 1.

don't be discouraged if you didn't get a likely... i got rejected by MIT, which admitted 9 ppl from Canada thbis year and i was deferred from Princeton.. each school is different... and likelies only take up 25% of all the acceptees, you will very likely be the other 75%!!!! and even if you don't get into D, you are very likely to get into another prestigious school.. good luck everyone... if you need anything more i won't mind posting more stats and other things..
but seriously, i think scores and numbers are so meaningless thesedays.. it's all about how you showed your uniqueness through your application..

wow. i think your stats are great :) very unique

is dartmouth your next choice after princeton?

oh yeah,

yay for canadians! lol

Congratulations!
Can you tell me, what was teh post mark date on your letter?
Good luck to the rest of the Canadians, intls...oh well, now I might as well say "good luck to everybody!"

Congratulations, Princetonwannabe!!! you must be thrilled! :D

Congrats P-Dub :D Now here's to at least one more...yeah, you know what I'm talkin' about!

congrats PW! omg.. my stats are so similar to yours!

ya n i also got rejected by MIT n deferred by Pton.

hope- finally!

applesatyr,
it's postmarked march 09th...

rm1987,
hope we both get into the school we want to go to the most!

candi14ever,
MIT WAS my second choice...

thanks everyone... even if you didn't get a likely letter it doesn't mean you are not a strong applicant... each school want to build different classes.. maybe Dartmouth wants more math and science ppl like me this year while your music or dance talent might be perfect for a school like Yale and Princeton... also, each school has different way of admitting students. Lots of applicants get into Princeton but not Dartmouth, or Yale but not Penn... so don't lose hope like i did!

There's no way to understand the admissions game, people are admitted to reaches and deferred at matches; it's the new Byzantine empire of Bureaucracy!

actually, that sort of makes sense. i heard tell that schools on the level of Tufts are unwilling to admit kids that are clearly using it as a safety, b/c they're qualified for more prestigious schools...adcoms don't want to accept great kids that won't matriculate b/c of yield rates.

congrats PW!!!!! =P vury proud of ya :D
