I just graduated 8th grade today and June 5th SAT results in a few hours....

I am hopeful I hit the 2150+ mark. As I type, my Xbox 360 is crapping out on me when playing Halo or Red Dead Redemption. I know the SAT was just practice for me, but I hope my score prompts my dad to buy me a new Xbox 360 Elite :). We are going to Lake Tahoe on vacation this Friday, it would sure be sweet to have a fully functional console for this trip.

Anyways, I hope everyone reaches their target score. I will sleep like a log, I just hope my dad does not wake me, before Best Buy opens promptly at 10am!

If you get 2150+ you’re definitely going to be successful in the future.

If I get the Xbox Elite tomorrow my life will have no boundaries.

I agree, 2150+ as a rising Freshman would be very impressive.

2150+ for anyone would be impressive, let alone a recent middle school graduate. I don’t think I even would of broken 1500 (all 3 sections) after 8th grade. I hadn’t even learned any geometry at that point.

If I hit this target score what does one estimate I could achieve by senior year? Sorry guys, this is my first post on CC.

Personally I think I would have done better if I had taken the SAT in middle school because thats when I was actually learning the material being tested.

if you get a 2150+, kudos to you. that is an excellent score considering you are only going to be a freshman next year.

don’t forget to tell us what you get

This is my prediction:

760 Writing
720 CR
660 Math

I’ll post my score when I get it.

If you manage a score like that at your age, a 2400 is extremely realistic two and a half years down the road.

A 2150 is incredibly hard to attain at such a young age… are you sure you scored that well? You sound confident but I had a friend whose brother felt like he aced the SAT in eighth grade but he only got an 1800 (still very good, nonetheless). Did you check the answer lists on the respective threads?

Oh and hey don’t play video games, they aren’t productive and they’re a huge waste of time. It would do you much more good to crack open a book or hang out with your friends (not online). I stopped playing video games 2 years ago and now that I’m done I do a lot better in school. Trust me, I played a lot (semi pro for Gears of War and level 49 in Halo).

Well how did you do, if I may ask? :)

I hope you found better things to do in Tahoe than play video games!
