I'm tired of high school. In in my junior year of high school, and I'm still worming hard at school work, but I just want to hurry up and graduate already. I already know many people say to enjoy high school while you can, but I honestly feel like I'm prepared for college. Did anyone else feel this way towards the end of your high school years?

Why not start taking classes at a local community college? This would allow you to have your feet in both worlds - college and high school. Earn enough college credits while in high school and your college experience may be better for you.

My daughter, who is an RN, did this and it allowed her to have a lighter course load when her nursing classes were especially demanding.

I vote with bookreader. My son could have gone to college much earlier, but instead stayed at home for CC, dual-enrolled with highschool. He went to college at standard age, and even though he didn’t get any transfer credits (top school), he was even better prepared both academically and socially. Admittedly, he needed the extra baking time, and I can’t say if that’s true for you or not. Be sure if you do take CC classes, that you dual-enroll with your high school classes because it makes admissions and scholarships more attainable.

Also, at this point, it’s too late to apply for many colleges, but there are many that are still accepting applications.

Good luck!
