i want to get a 2100 on my SAT. i had a 1510 before, then i took SAT classes and now i get in the 1800s. on the last day of my SAT class, i got an 1840. But i was still not happy with this score, so i bought the collegeboard SAT book, and took teh TEST and i got an 1870.. 610 in math<-- terrible... 630 in CR--was improved by 30 points.. and 630-writing... that math score is utterly terrible, how can i improve that score??

if i keep going with the SAT book, will i be able to reach my goal of 2100? i kno its soo hard to get even in 2000, but i will be willing to work for it.... HOW can i improve that math score and critical reading score... just keep going with SAT book?

What are you doing after scoring each test? Do you look at the questions you got wrong and figure out WHAT is wrong? Are there certain types of problems/questions you get wrong?

If you are talking about an increase of 300 points on actual SAT’s, congrats! Just so you know, about 85 percent of SAT takers probably wouldn’t consider a Math score of 630 “terrible.”

i am currently looking at what i did wrong. and i will probably read my vocab lists more and do more math. i will be taking the the test in Oct 10. im a junior. i will probably take it in January but i really want to hit my goal on the oct test…MATH MUST INCREASE!! and some WRITING AND CR MUST INCREASE!!

I DID THE SAT SCORE REPORT ONLINE IN COLLEGE BOARD.com AND MY SCORE CHANGED. i double checked my answers btw
here’s my new score: total: 1900 CR-660 Writing- 620 Math- 620

currently the section i can get a 700 most in is Critical Reading…for around a 650, its definitely math, and a around the low 650 area would be writing…although i get 6’s in the essay, but the multiple choice is hard for writing…

I can only help you on math: I think you should take it slower and read it more carefully; because that’s what i did and I went from a 690 to a 770 =). Everything on the SAT seems to be average stuff disguised by some iffy wording…lol

so im sure you can do it! Good luck to you!

With practice, improving the Writing score is rather easy…try doing that. Study & practice with idioms, vocab, etc.

Also…go thru some SAT practice math tests and look specifically for problems that are unfamiliar to you (unfamiliar set up or unfamiliar word problems) and do them. The more you are familiar with different types of math problem setups, the less time you’ll take during an exam trying to figure out WHAT the question is asking.
