Should look into more competitive schools :)

You look like a pretty strong candidate to me. Just make sure that you focus a lot on your essays and writing supplements and put emphasis on your activeties that are related to what you are interested in majoring in. I would say that you have pretty good chances at all of those schools from what I know about their admissions. You should consider a couple of reach reach schools, I wouldn’t be surprised if you got into a reach although the schools listed are all pretty good schools with great reputations. Good luck!

You could definitely get into most, if not all, of those schools. Yeah for more competitive schools like Emory or BC you’ll have less of a chance to get in but that’s why they’re called reaches. There are also good Ohio schools like Kenyon or Oberlin (though Illinois and Ohio are probably much farther away than I’m imagining).

Just out of curiosity, what are the benefits of applying to “reach” schools if I am unlikely to get it?
also any suggestions for reach schools?
I’m looking for schools not in the midwest (preferbly near water), with strong communications programs (specifically strategic communications)
with an intellectual but unpretentious student body? Also somewhere thats not in the middle of nowhere/there are fun things to do on campus/in surrounding areas

look into the universities of texas (austin, dallas, etc) they’re pretty good and from what i hear have great campuses.
