<p>I'm applying as a Bio major in the CALS school of Cornell, ED. I'm planning on being a veterinarian and LOVE the life sciences. God I'm so nervous here...Please be honest.</p>

<p>Honors/AP Classes (AP scores given after AP exams):</p>
<p>10th grade: Latin Honors, Euro History (5)</p>
<p>11th grade: Latin Honors, Precalc Honors English Language and Comp (5), US History (5), Psych (5), Physics (3)</p>
<p>12th grade: Integration and Government (Honors, it's a philosophy class), Gov and Pol (AP), Calculus AB (AP), Literature and Com (AP), and Chem (AP).</p>
<p>Extracurricular:
I've been volunteering at my local animal shelter since the day I was legally able to and got almost 400 animals adopted.
Spent the summer interning at a veterinary hospital.
I'm on the school's Science Olympiad team and regarded as one of the most valuable members. Last year I placed 2nd in regionals and 10th in states in the Ecology event; the year before that I placed 3rd in regionals in Ecology and 5th in regionals in Environmental Chem (Only offered that year).
Swim team since 9th grade.
Worked at a nearby environmental center studying iron bacteria and reintroducing brook trout to the park.
I started a webcomic last year that's kinda gotten popular. It's still obscure but I'm proud of it.
No leadership positions. It's all popularity contests and I'm...Not exactly popular. Besides, I prefer to be the one in the background who makes everything work and doesn't have to worry about being scrutinized too closely and criticized by everyone.</p>
<p>I live in New York, and nobody in my family went to Cornell. Not a minority either (I don't think Judaism would count here.)</p>
