REJECTION...cmon now adcom is random...chances..yes based on gpa/SAT's u are up there...and u know it based on their stats...so just point ur mind elsewhere until u find out

okay posting "rejection" in caps was truly cruel. but you have a good point, stats alone i should be okay but who the hell knows what will happen? admissions is random. you're right, i should point my mind elsewhere until NYU just tells me. and hopefully the letter won't start like your post did.

anonymous I think you have a very good shot, however you have to wonder who else is applying EDI from your school, is it a spanish girl who has a strong relationship with the University science research center, or a white girl who has a slightly stronger course load yet a lower SAT score, or maybe a very talented dancer who is lacking in the intelligence department. Despite what I just said I think you're a shoe in, I'd let you in at my school ;)!

JB...NYU compares you against other applicants from your school? Lets say its only me applying to Stern ED, and 3 applying to CAS and 2 to Tisch...how do they look at that? Eh my scores r bad anyhow so if I get in it'll be out of pure luck..or they really saw something in my EC's / essay.
