I live in a large city and haven't gotten interview requests from Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Yale,

I’ve checked my voicemail and spam folder and everything but still nothing.
I know a lot of people at my school who applied to the same colleges I did have already done their interviews for that school.
Should I be worried?
Can I assume that at this point I’m not going to get interviews from any of the above schools since it’s already mid-February?

I would not read anything into it – likely means that there were more applicants from your city than there are alumni interview slots.

Judging by these boards, there is little correlation between having an interview and getting accepted (unless, of course, the college requires one). I often see posts on CC from alumni interviewers mentioning how pleased they are when one of their interview candidates actually gets accepted. It’s not an automatic occurrence.

Colleges are sensitive about overwhelming their alumni volunteers, too, so most don’t end up doing all that many in any given year. Call the admissions office if you very much want one, though.

@Groundwork2022 You are 100 percent correct. In fact, many more interviewers are upset that few or none actually ever get accepted. It makes many rethink whether to continue to volunteer.
