I lost hope in my dream school, but do I still have a chance?

My dream school is Northeastern University and I really need some honest opinions on if I can get into because it is my #1 choice.

Academics:

I have a 3 year culmulative GPA of 2.96, but in junior year alone, I got a 3.4 or 3.5 GPA. Although, I'm not in any AP or honors classes

I got a 27 composite on the ACT

Extracurricular Activities:

By the end of senior year, I will have done 4 years of lacrosse, 4 years of wrestling and 3 years of football.

I have done the Midnight Run which is a community service organization and will have done it for 4 years at end of this school year.

I was a golf caddy at a country club in the summer before the school year started which I will say in my application

You just posted a thread looking for chances to NEU. Why post another? Your thread is like 4 threads down. Stick to that thread, no need to post another honestly. If someone is not going to chance you once, they probably are not going to chance you again. And if you are posting another one just to have more people chance it, I’d recommend bumping your other post up, so it would be at the top of the page.

^ I agree. But on another note, we don’t work for the admission office at NEU. Just stay clam and keep the hope. If you don’t get in, you don’t get in. Not the end of the world!

No. You’re gpa is way too low and your 27 ACT needs to get up a little. You obviously want a definitive answer since you’ve posted the same exact thing in 5 different threads. So I’d say absolutely, 100%, beyond any doubt no.

sorry, I just have a lot of anxiety because although there are other schools on my list that i thought were good and i can easily get in, Northeastern University is really the only school that I can see myself going. I’m just going paranoid

give the kid a break i was that way a few months ago too…everyone gets nervous and freaks out about their number 1 school…however i do understand everyones annoyance with this, dont post something more than once, especially a chance thing. but as bostonman said we aren’t admission counselors your guess is as good as mine…just for STATS purposes though, mean SAT for NEU is about a 1230 and gpa is around a 3.6…however that means there’s people below and above…dont sweat it though especially if you have already submitted there is nothing else you can do, if you dont get in just go to another school and you can always transfer…remember too that the people on this site think they know EVERYTHING and think there always right because they have a 4.0 and there future is set…pretty much there better than us  haha

^Ditto. I’m just jumping on the bandwagon at this point, but seriously. This is about the 5th or 6th time you’ve posted this, as if we didn’t see the first FOUR threads. We aren’t admins, we aren’t God. We’re some kids. Hell if we know whether you’ll get in or not. Not to mention, there are only so many of us that actually post here, and we’ve already responded to your previous posts.

I understand your anxiety, waiting for decisions is brutal. But this is getting a little ridiculous.

Honestly, if you don’t get in, it won’t be a big deal. I know it sounds harsh but you can always transfer if you still want to go here. I transferred in with a worse high school record than you currently have.

hey everybody, I got into Northeastern University

Congrats!!!

that is good news !
