I love my folks, but sometimes

So parents. I feel like CC doesn't have a lot of discussion about them. It's sort of an understood relationship where you just have to keep on complying.

I love them, a lot. I basically do good at school FOR them, so I can get a scholarship to lessen the burden.

My mom is awesome. She's sort of pushy, but I love her. She doesn't stress me out and is okay with me going to a less prestigious school.

My dad is a whole other story. He's sort of pushy, tries to get me to take the hardest classes and when I talk about my B, he has to say that I'm not trying hard enough. Don't get me wrong, we have a great relationship, but it's just that...sometimes I feel like I can never please him. Now that I look back at my life, I've told him that I'm proud of him many times, but he has never said that to me. President of four clubs, straight A's, great SAT, but still, nada zip, zlich.

I love them both regardless, and they've always been supportive.

Anyone else have that dad issue? Or mom issue?

All parents are the same. Mine are the same way. (other way around tho)
They just want the best for you and a B isn’t the best. Just try your hardest and when it all pays off they will calm down. haha I’m sure they love you, just want the best and enough is never enough for them…

No issues here. My parents are the perfect balance of pushy and laid-back.

The parents on this website however…yeesh! If some of them were my parents, I certainly would have runaway from home a long time ago. I have to wonder how their kids are going to turn out when they don’t have mommy/daddy dearest puppeteering their every choice.

I hate to stray from the topic, but Jai Alai is probably the most epic sport ever with the exception of Basque Pelota and Aztec ballgame, which just barely beat it out.

Jai Alai is basically the most awesome sport in the world. Do you play? I hate when people compare it to Lacrosse…becuase they’re basically two totally diff. sports.

Anyways, well I have 1 B right now, everything else is an A. To clarify, I am NOT a b student. It’s just that I hate the stress of trying to live upto everything my dad was.

Perfect SAT Score, Boston MBA Grad (Full scholarship), and all that jazz. They’re just not realistic goals for me, and my dad doesn’t seem to understand that.
