I love Penn

Seriously, I do. Go there. It’s amazing.

wow why didnt you jump but the "I <3 Penn" thread.

post whore.

ive been a member of this board for a year and 7 months longer than you, and only have 138 more posts than you....so I'd like to welcome you to join the post whore club.

Can I be a post whore?

Can I be just a whore?

I'm definitely a post whore.

What makes you love Penn? I'm a recently inducted freshman myself, and to be honest I'm having a hard time adjusting. All people do is go partying. I haven't really found anyone I could be close to. Maybe I'm just not a cool enough person to make friends very easily.

No I am the sluttiest post whore you've ever seen.

I am a whore-wannabe.

@Happy - join clubs and stuff, there's this big club and organization fair thingie going on on Locust Walk tomorrow, where a million clubs beg you to join. There should be at least one or two clubs you'd be really interested in, and you should be able to make some friends through those if you're not into the hardcore partying thing ;)

Happy - NSO sucked, I definitely had my share of unhappy nights. It gets better once everyone stops pretending that college is the way they portray it in the movies.

If it's still rough and you have any time that's not being taken up by crazy orientation-ness, let's do lunch =)

People tend to either love NSO or hate NSO... but believe me, it won't matter much once school gets started. My friends and I laugh looking back on NSO now... the people you tend to hang out with or go out with during that weekend very seldom actually become good friends. Once classes start you'll start to meet more people in a more normal setting and you'll probably become involved in a few extracurriculars which will expose you to tons of cool people.

I second abcfox though... everyone go to the Student Activities Fair, tomorrow on Locust Walk/Annenberg Plaza from 12-4 PM. Just about EVERY group is represented in some way there, and you'll definitely find something you're interested in... or at least you'll sign yourselves up for 50 different listservs and perhaps down the road an email about some event will spark your interest.

Just to plug my own group... make sure to stop by the Student Government Table (we'll be on Locust, just at the entrance to the Annenberg Plaza) and see all the ways to get involved... there are 6 very different branches, but all will allow you to meet so many people. There's also a Student Government Information Session on Wednesday at 9 PM in Logan 17, which I highly suggest attending if you're interested in hearing all about the stud gov love.

any orchestra/chamber music clubs?

Orchestra = life.

eighteenforluck: Where are you livin this year?

penn blows don't listen to anyone

hey neobez (sounds like newbies), why do you think Penn is horrible?
