the UC's are great.. Berkeley and LA are THE giants among all the UC schools but the other UC's are fantastic too; and i do recognize the honor and prestige tied with attending such universities but why do they admit so little (and i mean, SUPER little) applicants from outside california? i really envy those people who go to the UC's. i personally have been aiming for the UC's but i know my chances are slim because im from illinois and i just go to a community college.. can someone evaluate my stats and tell me if i stand a chance for getting into any UC's. thanks so much.
here's my stats:
45 credits completed (upon applying)
3.96 gpa
16 credits in progress
njcaa tennis varsity
4 year ncaa volleyball player
dean's and president's lister
phi theta kappa honor society member
did lots of community service stuff: enrichment program for the blind, habitat for humanity volunteer, special education volunteer teacher, taught impoverished children somewhere in the philippines
voted vice president and public relations officer of the class all through high school
national debate member
kiwanis club
yamaha music masters circle (piano)
*as for my recommendation letters and essay, i dont think ill run into any trouble with those.
i will be applying to universities soon but i need confirmation from some helpful fellows here before i send an application to the UC's.. thanks.

Don't keep making new threads.

The UCs don't require letters of recs, what are your SATs?

i bombed my sats.. they're bad.. isnt that if your going to transfer from a community college or any other college, they wont be minding your high school record already?.. even your sat's... that's what i heard. is this true?
