I also do computer programming and created a comprehensive website with quiz questions (by unit) and a search engine of terms for students taking a certain AP class--i run a Business out of it and made a few thousand dollars from those who buy subscriptions to the website (national as well as local customers).
If u don’t stand a chance, then no one does lol. U should b fine

bump bump bump!

you’re definitely in. no question

I got in with a similar profile. You have a good chance.

Being Asian American will not hurt you at Vanderbilt, although Vanderbilt has no trouble getting a diverse class now compared to five years ago. Sorry about your Stanford outcome but at least you tried. Move on. Real question: How serious are you about Vanderbilt vs other fine colleges? It is true that students with your stats are waitlisted every year now, but it isn’t as crazy hard as Stanford and Princeton by any means. BTW I don’t expect you to answer this question on this chat board but I want to tell you that you can only improve your outlook at Vandy and at your other colleges by completely studying the school, getting interviewed if possible and showing sincere thought about how you might contribute to the student body general life and to making the classroom an outstanding use of the faculty’s time.
Have you missed the deadline to apply for the Chancellor’s scholarships? Sorry if you have. I always suggest writing those essays to let people know you more.
Be more than a good student who tests well in your application. That is my recommendation. The only way to not end up on the waitlist is to shed true light on your essence and what you might bring to your class as an academic and as a person. Good luck to you and I wish you open doors!

You ask “do I even have a chance?”, like you were some sort of longshot candidate.

Exactly why WOULDN’t you have a very good chance???

Just because you didn’t get into Stanford doesn’t mean you are still not a very strong candidate at the top schools.

YungBasedMode: I really sincerely hope you are joking… :(

well, the way i see it, Vanderbilt takes about ten percent more of their applicants than Stanford does, so you should get in :)

You have a good chance. A very good chance. Get ready to empty your parents’ financial coffers though. You’re not going to ED II are you? I would go for a better school before resorting to Vandy, no offense towards Vandy.
