I made 15k last year yet my EFC is 74000! what happened?

<p>Ok so I have always worked to put myself through school. However, my last semester will require more work so I cant work part time. So I filled out a FAFSA form and I have no assets, no savings and 200 in my bank account. </p>

<p>I made 15k last year, I am a independent yet my EFC is 74000+!!! I am pretty sure its some sort of error because I was depending on grants and loans to cover me.</p>

<p>I was stunned when I saw the EFC score and I pray its some sort of error!!!</p>

<p>Do it again. You input something wrong. Maybe put in too many zeroes.</p>

<p>yeah, I am going to submit a correction form. This was my first time doing it so I was shocked.</p>

<p>Hopefully, they will have it ready tomorrow</p>

<p>Definitely a mistake. You have to wait until the submission finishes processing, then you can submit your correction. I am guessing too many 0’s, as well! :)</p>
