I messed up...big time

So I applied to the University of Pennsylvania’s school of engineering in the early decision applicant pool. With decisions being released in just a week, I decided to reminisce on my application. After going through my essays, I discovered that I called the engineering school by the WRONG NAME!! I called it the School of Engineering and Applied Mathematics instead of sciences. I can’t believe I let that slip past me!!

ANYWAYS
Should I be worried that that mistake will mess with my decision?? I’m too dang paranoid. I only said it once in the essay tho.

Nothing you can do now, so worrying about it won’t do anything.

Chalk it up to a lesson learned, remember it next time you are proofreading, and move on.

I think that’s an easy enough mistake. It’s not like you called it by the wrong college name. I don’t think that’s enough to warrant an automatic denial.

You might find this classic post reassuring.
