I messed up junior year...

Hi

I'm a rising senior (class 2007) and I was just wondering what my chances were for some urban schools. I kind of messed up 2nd semester junior year and really slacked off due to some mental health stuff that I plan to NOT talk about it any essay etc. Other than that, I don't have much of an excuse besides being lazy.
Schools I'm Interested in:

University of Washington (Seattle)
Seattle University
CU Boulder (major safety- guaranteed acceptance)
Fordham (Lincoln Center)
Will prob. apply to Columbia/Barnard for kicks and giggles

Thanks for any opinions.

You should consider my school, the Cal & even UCLA to apply to. You have what it takes with those ECs, infinitely better than mine (I had none).

Those 4 Bs won't hurt that much, even if you are OOS, your GPA owns my HS GPA.

UofW is a safe match for you unless they don't think you're serious in enrolling by means of a crappy application.

Also, as real serious advice, take the ACTs. You'll either do amazingly better on them than the SAT I, or amazingly worse. However, if the ACTs fit your skill set, i see no problem of getting a 99% Composite score, which is 32+.

Still pretty good.... at least compared to 99% of the people... You should be looking at cal, john hopkins, or maybe ivies if you bring those sat scores up...

Why haven't you taken any SAT IIs? and you still have to cram your SAT I...

I really like to put things off. However yeah, I should have taken the subject tests this year.

you might have some trouble taking the test and submitting the scores to colleges in time :o

I just think you need to focus yourself again, establish your goals, and I'm certain that you will do well. Your PSAT was a 215, so you should be able to crack 2250+

I'm not applying EA or ED to anything, so I should have my scores in time

Any other opinions on reaches/matches/safety or other schools I should apply to?

MIT/Caltech, maybe?

you sound a lot like me. i had my own issues 2nd semester junior year and my grades ended up worse than yours. you really have nothing to worry about as long as you bring up your sat's and i would recommend taking at least 3 sat II's. schools really like seeing an upward trend senior year, so if you can get straight a's, you're set.
