I messed up my junior year, can I turn it around?

I go to a small highschool that is apparently noted for being top 6% in the nation in academics or standardized test scores or something of that sort. I took a pretty tough course load this year and i feel like i REALLY messed up. I could definitely handle it, but i failed to prioritize at all. Right now i want to go to Colby College, and with these grades, im not sure if i can even make it at this point. Not to be conceited, but i am definitely smart, i have just lacked the self discipline to do the work and it has really bit me in the ass. I have recently started to kick myself into shape and i am hoping and planning on a phenomenal 4th mp. I'll give you my grades as a reference, just so you can hopefully give me some insight into whether i can turn it around and any other extra advice to help me do so.

Not to make excuses for myself, but apparently a LOT of my class struggled this marking period. I appreciate your help, and thank you.

We’ll need a lot more info to tell you. The #1 criterion for admission is rigor of schedule. http://www.colby.edu/administration_cs/ir/upload/CDS2009_2010-2.pdf</a> How do you stack up compared to your classmates in that area? What is your class rank? What is your cum GPA? How about your standardized scores?

my class rank is around 40%, my overall gpa was about 92.5 at the end of last lear, probably closer to 91 now. i took the sats this month so i dont know how well i did but i know i didnt do nearly as well as i couldve. i scored 178 on my psats. i expect myself to be able to score close to 2000 on the SATs.

also, 40% means about 70 because there are only a little more than 150 kids per class. Also, grade inflation due to homework in my school is off the charts so class rank is rather corrupt in my school. However, it is my fault for not taking advantage of that.

What kind of schools are you looking at?

Right now im looking at colby and skidmore
