Sorry if this is the wrong board for this, but I wasn't sure where to put it...

Anyways, I took placement testing for college a while ago. I had math first, and for that test I had a terrible eraser and ended up smudging a lot of the scantron, which I avoided doing on the other tests. I did well in the other exams, but in math, I got placed into Intermediate Algebra. I know I did much better than the score reflects because it was very similar to the ACT, which I got a 32 on in the math section.

I can retake it; however, there is a small chance that I'd lose my senior exemptions because I've been absent too often. I'm not going to be doing a math related major, and I really dislike math. Do you think it'd be more beneficial for me to retake the test and be placed in a higher math class or to just stay in Intermediate Algebra for an easy class?
