I missed my APA day...

I am an SAS undergrad, and I missed the May/June APA days due to private reasons. I registered for the Aug. 9 APA date today. But whenever I try to go onto web reg to set up my schedule, a message pops up: "There seems to be a problem...You are not eligible to register or change registration by this application. For assistance, go in person to your academic dean's office." Is this because I did not attend the early APA days? I of course will go see the dean, but only on August 9. Is the scheduling of classes on a first-come-first-serve basis?

Also, I would like to register for FIGS and Byrne seminars. I also missed the application deadline for these. I know that during the first week of classes, I will be able to sign up as other students drop their seminars. I'm wondering how easy it is to obtain one of these seminars.

Please help me. I am a very confused person right now.

Rising freshman are not permitted to go on Webreg regardless of whether they attend APA day. On APA day, you manually select classes on a workbook type thing that you will receive. You will be guided on what classes to take and how to transfer AP credits from high school, if you have any. I believe freshmen get their schedules sometime at the end of August and are able to go on Webreg starting the first day of classes, which falls on September 3rd this year.
