I have some questions about class rank.

First of all; W rank - not UW rank, is looked at, right?

Is the rank that's sent to colleges calculated at the end of your junior year or does it differ from school to school?

& finally: I'm trying to develop a master plan to drastically decrease my ranking. My school won't give us a clue of what it is until the end of next year I've figured out what one of the few underachievers in my grade's W GPA will be..

Her:
3.4 (9th)
3.7 (10th)
4.0 (11th.. don't judge me for predicting!)
+.10 (Weight added to 9th for taking 2 H's)
+.25 (Weight added to 10th for taking all H's)
+.33 (Weight added to 11th for taking 4 AP's & 1 H)
Final UW GPA: 3.70
Final W GPA: 4.38

Me:
4.0 (9th)
4.0 (10th)
4.0 (11th)
+.25 (Weight added to 9th for taking all H's)
+.25 (Weight added to 10th for taking all H's
+.28 (Weight added to 11th for taking 4 AP's..Guessing here, but probably correct)
Final UW GPA: 4.0
Final W GPA: 4.78

At my school, .00 weight is added for each R's course taken & .00 is added for each Non-AP course.

Soo, roughly 400 kids are on the R's track right now (not sure how many will take AP's, I'm guessing 0?)

400 kids (give or take) on the R's/Non-AP track will have a Final UW GPA of 0.0-3.7. Most of these 400 will probably take 0 AP's max. next year.

Do I have a shot at the #100 spot? Should I take 0 AP's next year? (my first year taking AP's) or would that be absolutely crazy if I want to invest minimal time in my EC's?
