i need a match or two...

I am looking for a research university-type school with undergrad enrollment of 4,000-9,000 or so, preferably in the midwest or east. Also, i want an intellectual atmosphere with a nice library and a nice-looking campus.

I have a 3.9 GPA and scored 34 on the ACT, and have a few good extracurriculars, plus i am taking AP classes and a college class. So, can you suggest some schools that i would have a pretty good chance of getting into, that are more at about the rigor of University of Michigan (but smaller)?

Well, not exactly east or midwest, but other than that -- Rice fits the bill.

University of Rochester, University of Chicago.

Emory, Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, Lehigh, Case Western, RPI

University of Chicago, Northwestern, University of Notre Dame.

washington university, st. louis
