Okay so I have my list set, but there's one safety I might drop (I already have one I'm definetely applying to) and change with a reach. My reaches are Notre Dame, UPenn, and JHU. Can someone recoomend a reach in that area of schools (more like the JHU-notre dame area moreso than the UPenn reach area) that is good in chemistry and math? Prefer midwest, but anything goes

Northwestern, UChicago

U of Rochester, Carnegie Mellon, Purdue, Indiana U Bloomington, U Michigan, U Wisconsin, U Minnesota, UNC Chapel Hill, Penn State, Duke, Emory, UVA

Definitely U Chicago.

Cornell University
Northwestern University
University of Chicago
University of Michigan-Ann Arbor

Thanks guys :D

Duke is a lot more fun.

Maybe, but Duke's chemistry department stinks. UNC's chem program is much better, esp. for analytical chem and pharmacy. I agree with OneMom-definitely Chicago. It's really strong in both chemistry and math-and its social scene is what you make of it (e.g. it can be fun). Plus, it adds diversity to your list.
