I need class recommendations

As a freshman, the classes that I wanted to take second semester are either rapidly filling up or already full. Stats, amcult 208, soc 210, even Econ with the 2 decent professors is filling up and the official freshman registration day hasn't even started. Psych with Schreir is nearly full. I need some class recommendations, I am applying to ross and need econ but the rest of my schedule is all up for grabs. (I finished the other reqs this semester) Any classes that ya'll recommend? Preferably with good professors. Im stressing that I'm gonna be stuck with a terrible schedule.

Don’t be afraid to waitlist. Things open up!!

Waitlist, show up and tell the GSI first section that you really need the class. Chances are there will be extra seats even if no one gets dropped. One of my discussions has 30 names on the attendance thing even tho 25 is the max. For now i guess just fill your schedule with anything you find interesting and hope to get lucky once classes start. Don’t be afraid to register 300-400 level either for HU/SS in case you don’t get into Ross. Most of these anyone can handle and there’s some decent profs at upper level.

Econ you can definitely get. Just follow the override procedure for the given department. That could be as simple as putting yourself on the waitlist, but I can’t tell you exactly what because I’ve never had to go to Econ for an override. The large lecture classes (i.e. Econ) are typically very easy to get into even once the section has allegedly filled up. Some departments even cap the classes at 80-90% of their actual capacity so they can ensure people like you are not shut out.

For some recommends, pretty much any 200-level history class with a good Rate My Professor rating. Typically very easy as well as interesting. ANTHRARC 285. Also, it is my understanding that a calculus class can do a lot of good on your Ross application. You might have already done that though.

Yes, I am actually currently taking calc 2. Thanks for all the advice so far, i’ll look into some history classes.

Anthrcul 101
