I got into to Berkeley for bioengineering but I am not sure what opportunities I will have available to me when I graduate or if all of my effort will be worth it in terms of a good well paying job. I also got into UCSD Bioengineering: Premed, Irvine- Bioengineering and Davis as a Regent Scholar with a special honors program in biomedical engineering. I have been accepted to USF as a university scholar with $22,000 in aid and I have a place in the 4+3 program with accounting. The 4+3 program ensures that I can attend USF law school as long as I maintain a 3.25 average in college and get a 60% on the LSAT. I know I can achieve these requirements and thus attend the law school and become a lawyer. Should I go the science route or take the USF law and accounting path? Right now I am very enticed by law but I am not sure how difficult bioengineering would be for me as compared to accounting and law or what the pay difference is like. I think law/accounting pays more but I am just not 100% sure how to approach this difficult decision. I have thought and thought about it but I am just stuck! Can you guys please give me your opinions and weigh in. Help! Thanks!

what do you do with a bioengineering degree? Work for a pharmaceutical / biotech company? Could be good - could be boring. From what I've heard a huge % of people who go into law regret they ever did. Accounting as well- lots of mundane grunt work, much of which can now be outsourced. You must be good in math..maybe try business school courses and see how you like it

If you're thinking about going into law just because of USF's offer and because you hear it pays more, you probably shouldnt go that route.

Biotech is real hot right now and a job in a top biotech/biomed firm can get you a very nice salary

Wow thanks you guys!!!! This really helps. I still have no idea what to do though.

Quick update I decided to go to Davis.

Change that USF. Davis screwed up the housing situation on campus so I decided to go to USF instead.
