I need help determining "GPA Scale." Can someone help me?

I am a homeschool parent of a Senior who I was notified is a National Merit Semifinalist, and I must fill out information to submit so she can be considered for Finalist.

For our school, I've used three different grading scales, depending if it's a regular class (A=4.0), honors-level classes (A=4.5), and AP classes or college classes (A=5.0). On the submission form it doesn't allow for these differences. Does anyone have advice about how I can answer this request? Thank you for your help.

My school uses that same scale and for college apps they just tell us to put it as a weighted 4.0 scale

Our school has something similar, and they consider the grading scale to be a 4.0. As an aside, would you mind popping over to this thread and post and posting what state you are in and what the qualifying score was? The folks over there are trying to figure out each state’s cutoff, and there are a lot students on the bubble who are trying to see if they made it. Congratulations to your daughter!

Oops - here is the thread: <a href=“***Class Of 2015 NMSF Qualifying Scores*** - National Merit Scholarships - College Confidential Forums”>***Class Of 2015 NMSF Qualifying Scores*** - National Merit Scholarships - College Confidential Forums;

Thank you, Suzy100.

Thank YOU for helping out on that thread - I know many people appreciate it. Also, please feel free to join the Parents of the Class of 2015 thread. There is a lot of good info over there and it’s a nice crowd. I know there are homeschool parents there as well.
