hello guys, i just got accepted to clemson and was wondering how it was in terms of education value, diversity, and prestige. just some opinions

This might have been a good thing to consider before you applied.. I am sorry I can not help you today.

My son is a freshman at Clemson, majoring in engineering. He likes it a lot. Picked it over higher-ranked places (Tulane, Virginia Tech, UMCP, etc) because he found the size, climate, and friendly students to be just what he was looking for.

Whenever I tell people he's at Clemson, they are all impressed... so it must have a reasonable amount of prestige here in Maryland.

Seems plenty diverse... racially, socially, politically.

He's in the Honors Program, which is a definite plus. The honors dorm, and the honors sections of the intro courses, make the place that much better. At least in that group, they take academics fairly seriously... but still have time for fun. I get the impression that a workaholic drudge would be happier elsewhere.

Hey gatechboy, did you hear from Tulane yet? It depends on who you talk to in terms of prestige and Clemson. Some people think its great, others consider the school a joke.

no, i was deferred from tulane. is that bad or good. do other people just get flat out rejected. i got accepted to tech though
