I have a question about online classes - specifically cty/epgy high school classes that do not grant credit. Does something like this need to be included on a college application?

You do not have to report noncredit courses of any kind (including AP scores). Only credit-bearing courses count. I used to be the financial aid director at a small university. If a student had come to me with this issue (not reporting previous schooling), I would have worked with the student and the admissions office to resolve the issue. I can't promise what the outcome would have been, but I certainly would have taken the time to help the student come clean and try to work things out. It probably depends on the school, but I know many schools are there to help, not hurt, students. Give them a chance!
