I need help with my majors

Basically, I want to be someone that oversees, controls, and manages a big company's budget. Looking at jobs, I've narrowed it down to a Treasurer, a Financial Controller, and a CFO in the long run (which is my major goal). Now, I need help deciding what majors will be the best to achieve these goals.

I know for sure that Accounting and Finance will be somewhere in my education. I don't know in what order, though. I know that I will probably be needed a CPA, so I'm think Accounting should be my major. Where will that put Finance?

My question now is, what is the best way to go about this?

Dual major in Accounting and Finance, Mastering in Accounting later

Major in Accounting and minor in Finance, Mastering in Accounting later

Master in Accounting and don't do Finance at all (this may be a bad choice)

Dual major in Accounting and Finance, Mastering in Finance later

Major in Finance and minor in Accounting, Mastering in Finance later

Slip Business Administration in here somewhere

Any kind of help will be appreciated. Thank you.

You need to see what your school offers and what you can fit into 4 years (or a reasonable amount of time).

Ideally, you double in accounting and finance.

Yeah, I feel as though I’m in a good position because I’ll most likely be attending University of Maryland, which has Smith’s Business School as one of it’s branches. They offer majors in both Finance and Accounting. Double majoring is the way to go?
