I need help!!

Okay, so i'm a junior right now in high school and my dream school has always been harvard. But everyones' telling me i don't have a chance! I thougt that i had a really good chance since my friend got in and he was as smart as I aws. Could you ppl please tell me if i can make it in? i know this is my first post, but now i'm not sure......

Im taking
AP Human Geo - 72 (see? really good to take AP)
English 3 Honors - 87
Precalculus (im a year ahead in math but the teacher hates me!!) - 58
Spanish 3 - 90 (this is a really easy class
Chemistry Honors (i HATE chemical reactions) - 69
Art 1 - 82 (accidentally smared paint on my self-portrait and i got a D!)
I think my rank is like 50% but my couselor hates me so he made it a lot lower than it should be...

my sat is 1870, and my math with critical reading is 1060. I don't want 2 take the act because it's not good enough for harvard, my friend says.

i'm in key club and debate, with like 70 hours of volunteer hours. I was also suppose to be the head of prom committee but this stupid kid (really he didn't know what a parabola was LOL) got to be it even though i volunteered myself a lot more than him.

i know that alot of u are really smart so could u please help me? harvard is my dream becaise it is the top school in the us and world and my parents say "anything is possible if u try hard enough"....please help me!

(I’m making the very unsafe assumption that you are being sincere…)

Both your grades and scores make Harvard an unrealistic option. Competitive applicants are at or near the top of their class, have SAT scores in the 99th percentile, and have almost all A’s with the most rigorous curriculum possible.

^ needs more internet saavy.

Though he sounds somewhat convincing, since he reminds me (nearly EXACTLY) of this guy one year ahead of me. I don’t know how he’s managed to stay in IB (the guy at my school, not harvard). They both are pretty conceited either way.

On topic: Win a Nobel prize?

I know but Im really trying hard! cant harvard see that? like last year i had 3 d’s and now I have 1 HIGH D and only 1 F because the teacher hates me .She took away my phone when it rang in my backpack like *** it was IN MY BACKPACK NOT MY HAND. I dont like typing but i don’t like my backspace key because it NEVER WORKS so thatas why i spell like this. this is the most rigourus schedule for me because my counselor didnt want to put me in higher classes or let me go into the IB which is like a college thing.

and anything, FU i cant win a nobel prize I bet you think i’m lying

bump!!!

I didnt have enough letters

hahahahahahhahahahahah, I cracked up reading this, if you you’re serious you do realize that effort is not enough, and majority of Harvard applicants never saw a B in their entire lives, so saying Only 1 D and F is somewhat pitiful.

AP Human Geography is one of the easiest, and Harvard expects people to get 5’s on AP Calc BC, AP Chem, AP Physics AB/BC,

a 1870/2400 is extremely low, most applicants are concerned that theur 2200 is too low,

not to discourage you, but unless you get the most corrupt Affirmative action filled ADcomm, no way you’ll get accepted, I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but honestly I think this is a joke.

I found this criticism of another’s math capabilities quite intriguing.

…It’s a ■■■■■. 1870-1060=810 writing score.

Niceeeeeee!!!

Most people who apply to Harvard want to go there REALLY REALLY BAD. Harvard isn’t exactly a safety school.
And clearly you didn’t want to go there that badly, otherwise you wouldn’t have such horrible grades.

quote

[/quote]

Haha, I hope your assumption is wrong.

Okay, now I know.

lul. Maybe he added up wrong, since he doesn’t seem to be good at math with a 58 in Math.

…yeah, I’m giving him too much credit.

regardless whether he’s a ■■■■■ or just *ing stupid in math, with a sound analysis and review by CC very mediocre posters, it can conclusively be said that he is a *ing bomb nut for Harvard, </3

This isn’t one of the funnier ■■■■■ threads.

link to funnier ■■■■■ threads please!

Or just read Jozheryx’s threads… (tho he seems to have proof that he isn’t a ■■■■■ - i’m just saying that his threads are funny)

Dude ALL ■■■■■ threads are funny.

Because either
A) They’re really convincing, and then they trick a lot of ppl, and it’s hilarious when everyone finds out they’ve been duped
or
B) They’re not convincing at all, which is funny because they suck at life for ■■■■■■■■ and then they also suck at ■■■■■■■■.

IMHO.
