Score: 1550/2400 (most of them are below 500)

Need help... I really need to bump my score. Any SAT books you recommend?

OF COURSE, i have the Colllegeboard 10 practice test, everyone knows that, but I need at least a 1700 to be worth using the book. What's the point of taking the test, if you'll get every single question wrong, on every single test?

What about Barrons or Sparknotes?
I have Gruber's but its really really hard to self-study.

Thanks.

Have you tried the ACT? You don’t get penalized for wrong answers.

Also, what grade level are you in?

No, i have not tried ACT (I only did the SAT’s, and that’s the only test accepted to my dream college)

I’m senior

What’s your dream college?

I had a 1500-ish in the beginning of this summer, took classes, but they only increased my grade in the mid 1600’s. After a week of self studying, I got a 1850 in the CB BB :x
I think that it is extremely easy to increase your score if you get some sort of guide, like a tutor or prep class. If you can’t, I think you should memorize common writing errors, study CR tips, and, well, i don’t know how to help with math, I am good at it, naturally, just need to memorize how to solve some types of questions and I have yet to take Alg2.

I was really bad at sentence completions, so i memorized around 200 words (really thoroughly, and it doesn’t take much time, maybe 2-3hours) and did about 200-300 sentence completion questions. My average before was 5-6/19 (LOL) and now it’s 14/19 :]

All I have to say is to study, practice, and repeat over and over again! :D

^

What books did u use?

Not counting bb
