i need opinions.

my cumulative gpa is a 2.7 while my chemical engineering gpa is a 3.250.does that affect my chances of a job or internship?

don't put down ur overall gpa, put down ur engineering gpa only. u got all C's in non-major courses?

actually i did bad in biology and organic chem so far(D and D+).all the rest are B+ and Bs....a few B_ and A ana A-.Thats where the 2.7 comes in.For the 3.250....i did two engineering courses.Mass and energy balances(B)and chemE 291 sophomore seminar(A)

It's been said many times, 3.0 is the magic number for internships and perhaps jobs. But since you have only take 2 engineering courses (one I am assuming is just a 1 or 2 hour (seminar) ), you have plenty of credits to raise your gpa. Mass and energy balances is quite a weeder for chemE's, getting a B in the course suggests you will be fine for the rest of the curriculum.

Engineering is tough and companies understand that. As GatorEng said, make suer you have above a 3.0 and you'll be fine.
