I need some advice

I’m currently enrolled in a CC and planning to transfer within the next year and I was wondering if there are any business majors out there who struggle severely with math. It literally takes my an hour to do one intermediate algebra problem. If so then how did you pass those classes? I’m currently an accounting major with a 3.6 GPA, but math has always been a struggle for me, I know it sounds ironic, but i need to know how you guys handled your algebra, trigonometry, and calculous classes. I have to take those classes for my major and I’m severely struggling with my intermediate algebra class.

Get a tutor ASAP. Also… get a gmail account for interviews if you are serious in your screen name here. You can have it route to your AOL so you only have to check the AOL. Just be sure you log into gmail to respond to any. Use the gmail for all “business facing” interactions.

Do as many practice problems as you can. If your school has a math center use that for extra help, see the professor for extra help, take advantage of free online resources (ex. Khan academy) for reinforcement, if you can afford a tutor that can be very helpful as well.
