I am a foreign student from Peru who dreams of studying at Maryland university. I have been living in the United States for six months because last year they gave me the great news that I had received the residence of the United States. From that moment, I have been trying to apply to the university but I do not know if I have the requirements to enter.
Currently I have taken the SAT and obtained a score of 1130 (550 in Reading and Writing and 580 in math), also according to the following web page “http://www.foreigncredits.com/Resources/GPA-Calculator/Peru” my GPA is about 3.8-3.9. In Peru I took the program of the international baccalaureate which made me involve in activities as community service.
With all these results is it possible that I have the chance to enter Maryland university? If the answer is yes, what do I have to do to make this possible?
Also, i would like to know if that website is accurate because the grading scale in my country is completely different than the grading scale in the USA
