I'm a current transfer student from CCC.
My major is mathematics, and I kept 3.85 gpa up until last fall semester. (3.67 gpa after fall which is the one UC's probably care)
For whatever reasons, I got C on multivariable calculus during the fall, and now I'm failing my linear algebra course.
I've got all A's for calculus 1,2 and differential, and I honestly don't know what the hell is going on. I'm just completely clueless about mathematics after getting into more proof-based.
Other than the C from calc 3, and current failing linear algebra, I've got all A in other classes like bunch of GEs, Physics etc.

I somewhat concluded that I'm not suited for mathematics major as upper level classes would be much more difficult than what I'm having now, and thinking about changing major once I got in somewhere. But I already submitted my application as mathematics major (well, before I realized I sucks), and I don't think I won't submit the change of major at this point.

I applied 7 UC except UCR and UCM, and I got an acceptance from UCSB so far. Since C in prereq, I'm pretty much giving up on UCB and UCLA, and I'm hoppig for UCSD, UCD or UCI (prefer UCI the most for a geographical reason).

I'm thinking about dropping my linear algebra class as I'm failing. I just got back my first midterm with less than 50 out of 100, and it would be pretty difficult to even get C in this class. (No extra credits, and the professor grades homework harsher than the test).

For UCI, UCSD and UCD. I completed all other major prereq before the fall except the linear algebra and a C programming class that UCI and UCD require (I'm getting A in here right now). UCD requires linear algebra, but my CC's course is not articulated anyway.

SO, what should I do?
I know it's prereq, and withdraw is huge. But I'm not shooting for top-tires and it's only missing 1.
Should I withdraw before I get D? Or should I just roll the dice and hoping I can at least get C ?
If I withdraw, should I do this right now before I get the any decisions? or should I do this after the decisions?
I really don't know what to do at this point
Can anyone give me any advice for this?
