<p>Hi, I'm a florida student going to be a senior pretty soon and I'm I need some help. In 9th and 10th grade I took the bus to school until I moved the last week of 10th grade. My school Doesn't have a bus that goes to my new house so my dad has been driving me to and from school since I moved. At the beginning of this summer my dad got a job, which was a real blessing since he wasn't able to find a job before that, and I just realized with his new schedule that he can't drive me to and from school anymore. And I don't want to ask my friends to pick me up because I live pretty far from all of them. My sister recently moved and gave us her car to use so we have an extra car. But I only have my permit.
I was wondering if there is any special type of license or something like that that would allow me to drive to and from school only. Or maybe if I go to the DMV and I tell them why I really need a restricted license, they would allow me to get one.

<p>It can’t hurt to call the DMV and ask about a hardship license.</p>
<p>In florida you have to have a permit for 12 months and then get your license.
I got my permit 3 months ago.
