I need to find a white dress for graduation...

Can anyone suggest some good stores? Thanks in advance. Please don't link weird stuff, because I check the site's ratings before I open it. I've already looked using search engines like shopstyle and luxgoddess. I even combed through google shopping. The dress that I want should be about knee length. It must have some sort of strap(s), and it cannot have a plunging neckline. My budget range is from $20 - $125 ish. The kind of dress that I have in mind is a pretty, white summer dress.

Well, why don’t you go to your local mall and look through all of the stores there? You might find some sufficient prices that will enable you to stay within your budget.

Well, if you don’t mind it falling apart in two days - then Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe.

White dresses are pretty easy to find. It’s a common problem here since about 10 juniors have to have them for Daisy Chain and all senior girls, like you, need them. Really, you can just go to the mall. But I think my sister got hers from Forever 21 for Daisy Chain and reused it for graduation, her friend borrowed one of mine that I got from Delia’s for Daisy Chain. I used it for Daisy Chain too. So Delia’s, Forever 21, H&M, etc., etc. If you’re willing to go up to $125, I might invest in a dress that won’t fall apart and go somewhere like White House Black Market or Ann Taylor. Sak’s if they’re having a sale. Nordstrom. Anywhere really.

This is sort of cute, it’s white, and it meets your price point, although it doesn’t have straps- though if you mentioned straps because you don’t want anything strapless, then it works.

Delia’s has a ton.

Ann Taylor has nothing, Gap has nothing, Banana Republic has nothing, Urban Outfitters has nothing.

I have a white dress from Forever 21. Maybe check there!

Thanks. I think I’m going to make one. Sure, I’ve never sewn an article of clothing in my life, but I know the theory behind it. We’ll see what happens…

If you end up not making it, try searching “white sundress” on amazon.

Wait why do you need a white dress? I thought graduation had the tacky robes and mortarboards… I think you’re confusing graduation with wedding…

I don’t think you should take up sewing a dress if you’ve never done it before. A white dress is something pretty basic, you really shouldn’t be having this much trouble finding one.

Borrow a white dress from a friend.
