I need your input =)

I'm thinking that by the time I apply to a 4 year school as a junior at a CCC I will have completed the 60 transferable units and the prereqs. to USC, UCLA, UCI, and UCB. I will most likely end up with a gpa of 3.5 My HS stats aren't really impressive, but will that have an affect in me being admitted? (UC's don't look at high school stats if you are an incoming junior from a CCC do they?) Anyways what do you guys think my chances are in getting into USC, UCB, UCLA, and UCI.

UCI- International Studies backup- Econ.
UCLA- Bus Econ.
UCB- Bus
USC- Bus Admin.

What other schools do you think I have a good shot in getting into (preferably in-state)

if ur doing Haas for Cal then reach...

rest ionno

highschool stats will have like 0 effect on all the schools you apply to except USC.. USC still asks for SAT's but not GPA's - though they do make you send a highschool transcript. I'm not sure how much USC weighs the SAT's for transfers - i assume they don't put too much emphasis on it. UCI = gurantee / safety
UCLA = reach - average for biz-econ i believe is a 3.8+
UCB = same as UCLA except harder - i assume you're trying to get into Haas, i've heard horror stories about Haas - a lot of people in UCB can't even get in with 3.3 - 3.5's... Don't forget to do your haas essay - it's due on the 15th.
USC = good shot. You're right on the average
Also look into UCSB - biz-econ .. i regret not going there as a freshman
UCSD has a top 10 economics program and economics can get you into many business type jobs.
I would advise you to stay away from UCR biz admin unless you absolutely have to.

good luck to you.

I agree with hobofromdowntown, but maybe a little lower chances

Thanks a lot for your input guys. What do you guys think of my chances of going into UCLA as a Communications major? Also, if I were looking at going into Global Business, what other schools am I a reach for? (it can be out of state schools)

Hobo pretty much says everything there... Just to remind you that Biz Econ is really hard to get in at UCLA (3.8+ GPA) and UCB. Other than that, 3.5 GPA would get you into UCI with very high chance. For USC, I think it is a slight reach (you are right within the average) ...

BIG NOTE: GPA alone can not determine your chance fully, other relevant factors like extra activities, personal circumstances, special talents, awards can play a huge role on the admission status, too.

Once again, thank you guys.

What do you think is the minimum GPA I need to get into UCI as an International Studies major?
