I never got a top scorer or high scorer letter. But I made 216. I thought I would be at least commended. I have a had time believing I would not be. Has a mistake been made? Is there a way for me to look in to this?

If the self-gratification is that important to you, call the College Board

I thought we had to respond to the top scorer letter to be in the running. Why would that be self-gratification?

If you took the October 2012 PSAT, then the letter was mailed to your school. They do not mail them any more to the individuals…

I haven’t received one either. I scored a 207 in Kentucky so I might not be NMSo but im definitely commended and I alsp should’ve received something for national achievement. And even if I am just commended I would still like to receive it not for self gratification but because its an honor I worked at to achieve and it’d be nice to be recognized for it

You can have your high school GC call NMSC and NMSC will fax/email/send a copy to the high school. It happened to my son also. I emailed GC at his high school and she can’t find it. She did contact NMSC and get a copy of the letter and emailed us. The high score students don’t need to do anything with this letter. This is the first time that NMSC sends the letters to high schools ONLY and many of the high schools are not aware of it.

This is the first year that the high schools only have received the letters, exactly, as jlin3515 said. I don’t think their letter even makes this clear, so they don’t realize that they need to tell you. Most of them still think you are getting an individual letter.

It is not just a matter of gratification, but of making sure nothing has gone amiss, and if it has, to correct it. Do follow up with your school counselors.

And, congratulations! It is an honor and you earned it!
