I plan on taking the SAT 3 times is that bad?

I’m taking the one my school provides me,im taking one in may and I want to take the june (or July I’m not sure) one is that bad? Will colleges view you in a different light if you take it more than 2 times?

No

No, that is not bad. Likely not worth it to take it four times, though. Best of luck.

Nope, not at all.

@marvin100 will they still superscore?

Different colleges have different policies. One cannot give a blanket answer to that question.

@skieurope oh I thought that college board super scored it.

College Board does not Super Score it for you.

Do yourself a favor: Google “How does SAT superscore and score choice work?”

The more information you gather, the more likely you won’t regret any decisions you will make going forward.

It’s not bad but why would you PLAN to take it 3 times?? Why wouldn’t you wait to see what you get on your school one and the may one and take one in the fall if you don’t like you scores?

There is nothing wrong with taking the SAT three times, but you will have to invest considerably more study time and spend three entire Saturdays testing. Personally, I would recommend putting in your full focus and dedication to getting the test done the first time. You will save so much time that can then be put into other activities. Not to mention that getting the SAT over with will save yourself a lot of stress!

Nope there is nothing wrong with it

No, it’s not bad at all; I might also be taking the SAT for the third time.

The vast majority of test takers improve their score the second time they take the test, so statistically, it is a good idea to plan to take it at least twice.
