i REALLY don't know what a good essay is

<p>i wrote a one page short answer on why i love playing the piano and i think it's good but it's probably not.</p>

<p>when i think if "good essay" i think of something from like Times Magazine or New York Times. do u guys write like that??$@?</p>

<p>omg, some of those essays were phenomenal. i think i might go cry... lol i'm hoping those were the cream of the crop other wise mine seem completely rotten.</p>

i read some of those and they weren't THAT great...but better than what i can write ^__^</p>

<p>if you want great college essays read the harvard acceptance essays book or something. a couple of them made me cry A LOT</p>

<p>My problem is that I can easily recognize a good essay, but I can't actually produce one. So I'm always ragging on other people, including published authors, but then I think-- Wait a minute! This is still way better than my stuff.</p>
