My dream school is the University of Tennessee, it has been ever since middle school. Both of my parents went there, my dad was an Andy Holt Scholar, my great grandfather worked there, and the rest of my dads family back to the 20's. My unweighted GPA is a 3.4, I am in the top quarter of my class of 404, I have had leadership positions for Amnesty International (Historian, Secretary, Vice President, and President), I have gotten three leadership awards, and three very strong recommendation letters from my first AP teacher, my guidance counselor, and my marketing teacher.
Truth is, my high school record shows that every year I pushed myself to the limit, I took two AP courses and Honors Eng (I got A's) and for me that was a big step. But, I have gotten myself ready for the decline letter (since I've heard it so much from my own family), but I think there's still some hope. Another reason why I think people tell me I won't get in is because I am an out of state person, but Tennessee feels like a second home to me because both sides of my family live in East Tennessee. My family drives at least four times a year down there ever since I was born, literally. I guess all I want to know is can I get in? And please if you are going to say something negative please make it as kind as possible!
