I REALLY wanna be a commercial airline pilot... where should I go to college?

I'm not interested in joining the Air Force at all. No. Not going to happen.

What are some of the best schools with aeronautics/aviation majors that could set me in the right direction to being a pilot for a major airline?

In case it's important: When I apply to college, my GPA will be 3.3 or 3.4 with a lot of honors, lost of ec's, and an ACT in the high 20s.

Thanks!!

Purdue is top in the country. with your gpa and act, it is a perfect fit.

Embry-Riddle in Daytona. Check it out.

2nd - Embry-Riddle

ER is good too. Purdue and ER

University of North Dakota.
UND Aviation

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott AZ

If you got some guts, go Navy or Air Force Rotc or Naval or Air Force academies.

He obviously doesn't. Army Beat Navy!

Seconding University of North Dakota. Northwest Airlines has partnered with them. I'll bet they have a much more reasonable tuition, too.

I think Auburn University has a flight program.

St. Louis University, Parks College of Engineering

Beautiful campus, urban St. Louis location, Jesuit education

Regrettably, in today's airline environment, airlines are not looking for the best educated or best trained pilots. They are looking for the cheapest. That guy in the right seat of your airliner today may only have a few hundred hours of experience. Investigate the field fully before investing your life in it. There are a lot of good unemployed pilots out there.
