ok so I’m a human biology major. my current gpa is 3.21 and I know it’s not good at all for the universities I want to apply to but after spring semester , summer and next fall( if I want) I’ll be at a 3.4-3.5 ish if I get 4.0s for my remaining semester. This summer I’m hopefully going to get an internship and I have a lot of extra curricular. also, I have one C, more B’s than A’s(yikes), and a D in math which was a C but I intentionally asked for D so I could retake the class. if I don’t get into the schools I want, can I transfer from a CSU to a UC? so yes, hit me with reality…
Even if you had the best of GPA, it would have been unlikely for you to upgrade from a UCS to the 3 schools you mentioned. Actually, those schools accept transfers easier from community collages than CSUs, and even then with GPAs much higher than yours.
Why are you transferring?
The CSU’s are usually pretty good.
Most UC’s are on the quarter system. The CSU’s are typically on the semester system. Will you struggle with a shorter time period? Most transfers have a minimum of a 3.4. Based on your present grades, I don’t think you will get into San Diego or LA, especially into an impacted major.
USC is private, so if you can pay the costs, you might get in with a better GPA; they like EC’s.
