I reported the wrong SAT scores

Hi, I have already been accepted to csulb, but i received a phone call yesterday which lead me to learn that I accidentally reported incorrect SAT scores. They now have my actual scores and are very confused. It turns out that the score I reported was my pSAT score, which is listed directly under my SAT score on the college board website. My self reported score is higher than my actual score and I am frantically trying to figure out how to keep my offer of admission beong rescinded. The only positive thing is that my true SAT score, combined with my GPA, still comes to at least a 3700/3300 needed for eligibilty. If anyone has any insight please help me.

Did you explain your mistake and did they say they need to do another review of your application? Did they tell you when you would know your status?

I wasn’t sure what the problem was when the secretary of the admissions office called me. I don’t think they’re open until Monday I plan on calling then. Do you think they will automatically rescind my offer though?

People make mistakes, that is why they want your official scores vs going by self-reported scores. I really cannot tell you if they will rescind, but it is an honest mistake. I would call on Monday to follow up.

Thank you for your thoughts gumbymom. I know it’s hard to tell what they will do, I was just hoping that someone might have been in my situation before and know.

No. They accepted you so they want you. They will not rescind you over a silly error. Call them tomorrow and explain iot to them. Good luck.

Thanks guys, my admission was confirmed.
