Made a mistake with SAT scores

Hi all,
On the CSU app, since I was unaware that CSU’s superscore, I put my highest single sitting (2290) in. However, when I was sending my SAT scores, I realized that they superscored and so the correct score should be 2300. I know it’s not a big deal since I didn’t put in a higher score but I also didn’t put in my previous SAT sitting at all since I thought I should just put the higher one. I already submitted my app, so should I just contact the SDSU admission office on Monday and tell them that I didn’t know about superscoring and tell them about my previous attempt, even though the SAT scores sent to them clearly show both of my sittings?

Couldn’t hurt to send your admissions counselor an email but in all reality, a 10 point differential isn’t going to mean anything really.

@crams17 Thank you.

Hi, @ninemuses - I think you’re the one who asked me some questions about my family’s experience with SDSU’s Merit Scholars program - if you are interested in that, I would recommend calling admissions on Monday (have a book or a game available while you’re on hold, it can take a while) just to ask if there is anything you need to do to update the info. If you are in the running for the Merit scholarship, you want them to have your best stats in their system. Also, if you haven’t reached out to the Merit people for a personalized tour, do so now. This way they see your interest. PS I don’t believe my Aztec gave them his superscore, and it all worked out perfectly.

umm I might be wrong, but aren’t you pretty much guaranteed entry to a CSU if you have a 2300?

@tomatox1 -True, but the OP is competitive for institutional scholarships/honors.

@tomatox1 Yes, but it is my safety (financial and acceptance-wise) :slight_smile:

@Fish125 Thanks so much for the advice-I am that person. I will be sure to do so.
