I said "no" to Wellesley to go to....

For those of you who decided Wellesley was not the right school... where are you going?

have YOU decided?

i'm swat class of 2010 officially today. sent in my deposit.

POMONA!! Academically equal to Wellesley, higher rate of sending students to top grad schools, better weather, coed, closer to home, amazing dorms and food, lower transfer rate (=happier students), clustered with four other colleges...what's not to love? I like Wellesley, but I LOVE Pomona, and I just clicked much better with the students I met at Pomona while visiting than at Wellesley. I sent in my deposit today.

Good luck to everyone with their college careers, no matter where you go!

"better weather" is a relative term...but I'm sure that most east coast kids would love west coast weather.

Haha, that's true. Better weather in my book. Where are you going, exigent?

No where ;). I'm in 8th grade, but I'll be moving to California for high school soon...

Wow, 8th grade? That's impressive that you're getting such a head start on college stuff. But make sure college admissions and CC don't take over your life (CC is oddly addictive, I know ;)). Are you going to boarding school? Which one? And good luck!!

Nah, just a private. The Harker School...I totally know what you mean by CC becoming addictive.

Carleton. It was so hard to send the rejection to Wellesley! Such a great school...

Mount Holyoke. Such an amazing sense of community, and great traditions. I felt like the students there felt free to be wackier, if that makes sense, and Wellesley is a bit too conservative for me (I know it's liberal, compared to say, Notre Dame, but I'm very liberal, as in Wesleyan liberal).

Amherst. Wellesley was so nice to me, though--it was a hard choice!

Duke--though I felt pretty bad after I received a really pretty poster in the mail in addition to three handwritten letters. I've never gotten handwritten letters before!!!

Me too. I wanted to write on my "rejection" like :Sorry, I really loved you?

aaaaaaaaaaaaaah harker is everywhere!! good luck with that, exigent.

Yup...i'm a sophomore so I didn't reject Wellesley or get accepted anywhere. Lol. But in a year or so, I will be.
