I accidentally sent in my AP score for chemistry, because I didn't realize that it was on my transcript.

I got a 1, but an A in my class, and there are a lot of reasons for that 1 that Duke and the other colleges I applied to will never hear.

So, how much will this kill me.

...

Not as much as you think...AP scores dont count for much..sure, it could raise some questions as to your school's rigor but other AP scores, counselor recs, teacher recs, etc. could help answer those. So, of course a 1 is not an asset, but its probably not as bad as you think..it wont be the reason you get rejected and it could very well have no negative effect.

Thanks SS, I've been really bothered by it and that definitely helps. =)

I was just wondering how it is possible to get a 1 in AP Chemistry. I was considering self- studying it but now I am not so sure b/c if someone who took the class got a 1 then. . .

Rose, don't worry. I'm basically a failure who got sick the day before the test, and burned out because he tried to do too many things his junior year.

I'm sure you're more than capable enough to do well.

And my teacher was a creepy old pedophile who incorrectly taught us nuclear decay and didn't like answering questions.
